25 Jul 2006 3:59 pmFinally I found a little bit of time to do some spot of writing. I swear if I keep doing this - writing intermittently, that is - my writing will go absolutely downhill, or maybe it already has.
Let’s begin with beautiful, glorious yesterday where the short 20 minutes break in between two classes suddenly had my stomach growling very badly, and that all too familiar ache which meant I either had diarrhoea or my lactose intolerance was acting on whatever products of milk I accidentally took, which I absolutely couldn’t recall.
It was a very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience, but luckily some of the cubicles in Metro’s toilets actually have toilet bowls!! - a rare find in educational institutions, even more rarer in high schools. I mean, the ones in u8 were all the squat-type which are all pretty uncomfortable, since you need to strain your leg muscles, and.. I don’t have to describe in further detail what happens when you have a bad case of diarrhoea.
So I went to Metro’s toilet twice and gave the toilets the honour of me sitting on the royal crown to settle my rather uncomfortable stomach. Didn’t help much, so I was desperately wanting to buy The Miracle Pill, a name I dub for the infamous poh zhai yin, Chinese pills especially for gastrointestinal distress like mine.
Being a non-native of SS15 meant I’m pretty much clueless where to start looking, but my classmate Kenneth mentioned something vaguely about “behind TBS got a lot of shops”, so I took that in mind.

Both Kenneth and I brought our laptops to college: the exact same laptop, the exact same bag, lol. Pic courtesy from Bryan’s handphone.
So we went to Salmon Steak - I can’t recall if I mentioned about it before but for RM5 you can order a set of steak + fried rice + FREE iced lemon tea which is insanely cheap and delicious, only from 9am-5pm - and placed my order, then walked under the scorching hot sun in pursuit of a freaking Chinese sundry shop or something related to it.
So I walked down the same row of Salmon Steak until a bunch of Malay stalls surfaced, and a glance down the road showed the horde of cybercafes indicating wrong way, so I walked all the way back and behind the row of Old Town Kopitiam (means behind TBS lah), then walk and walk while carrying my rather distressed and uncomfortable bowel, then saw a rather familiar name in a green banner surfacing in my eyes: Herbs & Food.
OH JOY.
I walked in, strided to the counter to the old man manning it and asked in Cantonese for a small box of poh zhai yin which costed about RM6.50. I leaped gleefully back to Salmon Steak where my other classmates were, downed a bottle of said pills, and huzzah my stomach felt almost immediately better. Seriously. No kidding.
Then my Human Communication group watched Crash on our two laptops (we played the movie at the same time, so audio was in sync and stuff :D) which I downloaded via the Almighty Intarrnet, which they thought was good/meaningful/insert other adjectives. Andy told me later at night he would give it a 4 or 4.5 out of 5, woot. :D
I was skeptical in introducing them the movie since I thought it wouldn’t be palatable to many people’s tastes. Anyhoo, on finishing the movie we thought it wouldn’t be suitable after all for our group presentation, so yeah it was crossed out.
I reached home at nearly 5pm, went online for a while, had a 2 hour nap, dinner, and went out again with Andy to McD’s Taipan to do our Accounting homework. We went back at 11pm plus, thinking it would close soon or had already closed with us inside, but turns out they’re open till 12.30am daily. O_O Found a good place to study without purchasing anything, huhu.
Yeah so I was pretty much not at home yesterday, spending my time with Accounting homework (still unfinished) as we have a test/assignment we have to complete on the spot the next day, which was today.
We were to complete this extremely long Accounting question in an hour and 15 minutes which Ms Yeap did extend after we complained it wasn’t enough. It’s an open-book test, which somehow also indirectly meant it was okay to discuss with the people around you which was what I publicly did; our seats were also like, next to each other, hehe.
One thing I was extremely proud of was when the resident Accounting genius, also a somewhat dysfunctional dude within our class’ social hierarchy due to all his eccentricities and weird speech and whatnot (which I shall call him Mr H, since it gives him a cooler name and to protect his identity, blablabla), asked if I managed to balance my accounts.
I proudly said “YES!” while attributing it to Ah Keat whom I referred to at the last minute (missed out ‘net profit’ in my final balancing), another Accounting genius but a complete opposite of Mr H in which he is extremely quiet, and Mr H asked me quizzically if I took Accounting as an extra subject in my SPM?
“Nolah, never take since I never liked Accounts.”
“Then how come you can balance wan?” =.=
Tai siu ngo la. Cis.
After our Accounting test when we were waiting for our HCM class, we were hanging out at some spot near the college’s main entrance and.. we heard a loud bang. We wheeled around. I took out my camera and snapsnapsnapped.
Both car and motorcyclist were at fault - car for not indicating signal, motorcycle for.. probably going too fast or something. I don’t recall since it happened so fast but we were all collectively agreeing how both were at fault, so yeah.
Malaysian Studies mid-term exam tomorrow. Joy. Dry joy. Dry humour. Dry wit.
