I went with Andy two days ago to Secret Recipe, Taipan at about 10.20am, initially wanting to take advantage of the “buy 1 whole cake, free 1 whole cake” offer for purchases made only on the 11th November 2008 in only 11 outlets nationwide. But we merely passed by it and didn’t continue to stop because we were only 30 minutes shy before the actual opening hours at 11am, and there was already a long queue snaking out of the outlet to about 3-4 shops away.

Would I stand and wait in line for several long hours just to save about RM30 (with the possibility of the cakes running out of stock) while sweating profusely under the typical humid Malaysian weather, or would I utilise that time to play Fallout 3 instead in my air-conditioned room?

No prizes for guessing which decision I stuck with.

So Andy and I went instead to the SS15’s Secret Recipe to see if it was one of the stores selected for this annual promotion, and nope, it was empty with not a single customer in sight – a complete contrast to what was occurring at the Taipan branch.

After much deliberation, we chose yoghurt cheesecake and went back home.

Which brings us to night. I went to Jon’s house at about 9.30pm to play Fallout 3 together (it’s a single player game) ‘cause we were wimps wtf – the game was actually a little eerie and creepy at various parts, and we needed each other’s company LOL. Wai Hong dropped by too for a while, and then we went on our separate ways to pick a few people to Ding’s house, where my car containing Sarah was the last to arrive at about 10 minutes past midnight.

It wasn’t really a surprise in the end.. ‘cause if I’m not mistaken Kai Tzin SMSed him and asked him to come out straight wtf.

I know the cake’s not that clear, but it says “Happy Birthday to Ding the El-Cheapo” wtf.

And Kai Shen also phoned Ding all the way from Sydney, and we each took turns to talk to him wtf.

After repeatedly asking the same question with different variations of where Ding would be treating us for dinner, we finally went back home after managing to squeeze an affirmation out of him. (Which, whether this would come true, is another matter altogether.)

So Ding finally turned 19.
