6 Aug 2006 4:43 pmI’ve just finished watching Lost episode 19 (season 2) – SOS, and finishing watching that made me realise how powerful this TV series could be. I’m normally lazy enough to not want to bother any TV series at all because that means having to stop doing everything else and watch the show while fighting off family members who want to watch a different channel at the same time -- all this back in the days when geniuses somewhere in the world didn’t introduce the wonderful technology of p2p and torrents.
But with Lost, it’s something different altogether. They managed to put in cliffhangers at the end of almost every episode that make you stare blankly “wtf”, or include some remarkable side-plots, whether engaging or touching or something purely fascinating.
Episode 19 has the side-plots of Rose and Bernard as their background story unfolds, and.. if you’ve watched it, you may be inclined to agree that the creators of Lost have managed to include both science and faith aspects into the show, and this time - faith.
I figured it’s somewhat touching, to a certain degree. Faith, I believe, is something personal, regardless of whether it’s religious or not.
Now I’m going to continue with episode 20 and sleep soon.

T_T I don’t like Lost..
It’s scary. Sometimes it’ll come on while I’m randomly watching TV and I’ll have to turn off my TV until it’s over ‘cause it always manages to scare me.

u know i study some media books and it is said that those movies that leave u wondering wot is the whole movie all about in the end are good movies and berkualiti; for high class people, coz according to research, high class ppl wanna use their brains to think and all. whereas the middle and low class prefer those straight-to-point movies.
i find those leave-me-wondering movies disturbing and irritating though. so incomplete and no-meaning to me.
just like some movies where those people kill all monsters…then when everything is safe and sound TIBA TIBA got baby monsters come out. then THE END.
so !@$#%@#$^&* righttt??

Lost: If Lost is scary to you, then that little girl you were saying leaves me wondering. >_>
Angie: hahaha!! guess i’m on a different opinion here :p I sometimes like these open-ended movies la, like open to our own interpretation.. tasteful movies I mean.. Sepet and Gubra come to mind, except for these completely tasteless movies, like the one you mentioned, reminds me of some pterodactyl (the flying bird-dinosaur, dunno how to spell) movie where IN THE END after killing big mama, camera turns to baby eggs hatching somewhere in the volcano =.= SO STUPID (don’t mind spoiling it since it’s a really stupid movie anyway).
I’m not suggesting that I’m ‘high class’ or what la, it’s just that I like these kinda movies, movies that make people think a bit, like Crash, or even Brokeback Mountain yeah. Movies that stir up the mind won’t at least end up wasting your money going to the cinema, but in our case it’s sometimes pointless since they’re all censored and stuff.
Butttt of course if the movie gets to artsy and stuff, like House of Flying Daggers, it gets to the point of ridiculousness.
