7 Jun 2009 3:21 amWe were at Decanter Too at Wednesday midnight after Esther picked Heng, me, Ding, and Andy up at 11pm+; Suet and Barry met up with us at the closed down petrol station of Carltex near Sunway Pyramid, and then we were on our way to my favourite bar in two cars. Initially we parked outside by the roadside, but on spotting a couple of cops near Decanter Too, we decided on a more legit parking instead.
I’d divide Decanter Too into two phases, for the lack of a better word – the evening phase is the one I enjoyed and loved the most, with bright lights, smooth jazz and delightful music accompanying your dinner and if you’re at the right time and day, you could catch the talented guitarist playing very tasteful music spanning a wide range of genres, not to mention that there are way fewer people around hence less unwanted noise for a peaceful evening; the late night phase, on the other hand, begins at after 10pm-ish when the lights dimmed, many people start to stream in, the music played was diverted into music remixes, hip hop, and RnB among others, tons of cigarette smoke starts to canvass through the air, and all in all, it was incredibly trying trying to have a proper conversation.

No it wasn’t that bright then, I assure you – it’s just my flash bouncing against the roof.

Esther, Heng, Andy.

Me, Suet, Barry.

Ding and me.
It was hard to have proper conversations since we have to yell a lot as the other tables were just simply rowdy and getting a little crazy, even though the bar was merely half full – we were mocking the young’ins over their silly antics, but we then reflected that we were probably the same at their age. >_> Such a conversation was telling enough over how old (and possibly more mature) we are now. :/

We then moved to the sofa seats which were unused.

lmao.
On Esther’s request, I asked Tim if he could switch the audio to the TV instead as Channel V was playing Utada’s latest English song, Come Back to Me, which Esther really liked. After listening to it for a while, he asked me who that was and asked if she was married lol (no Utada is divorced).

Me and Esther talking.

The two of us.

Posing kau kau.
Suet and Barry left first, then at about 1.30am, Tim came to me and told me that he was leaving now. The rest of us only left at 2 when the lights were turned back on, hinting to us that we should leave.

Outside my favourite bar.
On the way back home, I hiccuped and then proceeded to hiccup all the way back home even though I was fast asleep WTF. Definitely never heard of this occurring before in my life.

On Friday morning, the rest of my results for this semester were finally released, so in total:
Law of Investments and Financial Markets – 70 – Distinction
Macroeconomics 2 – 76 – Distinction
Introduction to Financial Planning – 81 – High Distinction
International Monetary Economics – 74 – Distinction
I was pretty satisfied with my results. My mum also made a phone call to the RMIT office to get to know news of my scholarship results and I learned that I didn’t get it but Ho Sheng did instead, so my parents went out then to buy the required bank draft, and at 2pm I went to college.
Fatima, on seeing me in the office, announced my arrival to my Head of Department who then told me that my interview marks were the same as Ho Sheng, and I lost on the basis of my academic results this semester as my rival had 2 HDs and 2Ds.
...
FML.
I lost an RM50k scholarship by 1 subject, which is just cruelly close if you ask me. Too fuckin’ close. I won’t bother ranting about it here since I’ve done it enough with my friends, Haensly, and other online avenues, but.. sigh. :((((( The night before I was watching Prison Break’s series finale and despite already knowing which main key character was killed off, it was still awfully depressing all the same and probably was one of the catalysts to pull my mood down completely. :((
I’m still painfully trying to move on – I wouldn’t have minded as much if Kenneth, who was more deserving given his financial background and personality have gotten it instead, but I suppose the best man wins. =/
I then discussed later with Kim San about our accommodation and stuff in the library as it turns out that he was going to Melbourne after all.
At night, I left house at 8.30pm and picked up Kai Tzin and then Esther, and we went again to – guess where? – Decanter Too to drown my sorrows with the bottle of Jacob’s Creek that Esther brought along (a RM30 corkage fee was charged for wines). We only arrived at about 10pm after parking at a RM5 parking ground.

Deep-fried squids (RM10) – so tasty we ordered it twice and we even considered a third serving wtf. Esther said that we’re getting more sophisticated drinking wine like that in a bar lol.

Esther posing with her glass of wine.

The look of a sophisticated young lady.

The look of a hungry hooligan wtf. (I’m holding one of the dishes called ‘Chicken Boxing’ or something like that.)
We also ordered another bottle of Australian wine – a Salisbury – from Decanter for about RM76 if my memory serves me right.

We played Heart Attack a lot with the cards – crazy funny as all of us were rather tipsy to a certain extent.

Esther and Kai.

The three of us who were there.

Sei hiao kia.

Psychedelic background lights! You can see how dark it actually was if not for my flash kicking in.

Me and Kai.

Ooh I like this pic of Esther!

I was turning a tad bit too red.

Kai and Esther camwhoring.

Me and Kai.
Tim dropped by our table to say hello to me and apologised for not answering my phone call earlier as he was in the cinema watching 17 Again, lol. (When he texted me telling me that he’d call me back, I replied that I merely wanted to know how much the corkage was.)

Ezen dropped by too.

Esther with her cancer stick wtf.

Just chillin’.

Ezen’s mugshot hahaha.

Kai and Ezen.
The three of us were in no condition to drive, so at 1am+ we left the place after I told Tim I was going to leave and the four of us adjourned to the nearby Pelita mamak. Both Esther and I ordered limau panas, and Esther, in a fit of crazy semi-drunkenness, added soya sauce into my drink wtf. We then exchanged each other’s drinks. >_>
Esther who supposedly felt better by then, offered to drive my car until we get past the area where police roadblocks were normally held as Esther didn’t look red at all. At a traffic light, Kai Tzin and Esther exchanged places, and on sitting at the back seat, Esther winded down my window and then proceeded to puke all over my window and car door – the irony was she told us how wines won’t make us puke earlier when we were drinking the wines in Decanter Too wtf.
The next 20 minutes or so was relatively unknown as I fell asleep at the passenger seat, but when I woke up I found myself at Adrian’s compound, and Esther along with Kai were trying their best to wash away the vomit clinging onto my car door and window. >____>
Reached home at nearly 3pm. ‘twas fun to make me forget my sorrows for the moment.
