The Road to Bangkok

On Wednesday night, Shawn and Ding came over to my house to do our Japanese homework.. I also attempted to set up a mini-studio of sorts to photograph Shawn’s collection of knives which kinda failed because of the horrible yellow light in my room.

Then on Thursday morning at nearly 10am, Shawn picked Heng and me up to go to Putrajaya where Heng had to apply for a new IC due to the broken chip in his current one.

Beautiful morning with the grand architecture of the government offices. (Nearly all of the images were at the wrong white balance again WTF as if it’s some Putrajaya curse or something, but luckily I was shooting in RAW and my mistake was easily corrected.)

Nearly empty roads and the sidewalk.

Going up to the Bahagian Kad Pengenalan.

We then went to Tesco Puchong to eat McD’s where Heng belan-ed us. :D After Shawn finished doing a quick shopping at Tesco, we adjourned to Shawn’s house and I slept for a while – was feeling incredibly sleepy for some reason. After finished watching an episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show of David Beckham and Ashley Simpson, heavy rain disrupted the Astro service and we resorted to playing mahjong for entertainment wtf.

Went back at about 4pm as I had some Chinese homework that I have not done. Later on when I turned up to class, I was the only one around -___- but it was a pretty awesome 1-on-1 private lesson.

---

I’m going to Bangkok end of next month!!! Officially confirmed since I’ve already paid for my AirAsia tix – am going with Matt, my very good collegemate and his friend Albert, who was also my classmate for BIS100 back when I was still in Curtin.

I was placed in a situation where I was torn between going and not wanting to go because I will be missing an entire week’s worth of classes, plus I was sure my mum would be against it (yeah it ended up in an argument wtf but we patched things up pretty quickly like 10 minutes after the argument). Sigh but in the end, travelling wins me over. :) Screw you classes, I rather have my own week-long blissfully ignorant holidays than going to college.

Matt and I used to discuss travelling plans together – road trips, going to Langkawi, etc – but the actual thing never materialised, so I’m pretty hyped up that we can finally go on a trip together.

On Wednesday morning I met up with him at Subang Parade’s MPH while we flipped through the Lonely Planet guidebooks to get a rough idea of where to go, but it wasn’t of much help. We met up with Albert at SS14 and then ate lunch together at a corner-lot Chinese restaurant, before Matt sent me to Shawn’s house.

Now for the day when I can finally backpack with anyone from the extended family.

---

I was watching a downloaded flick on Wednesday midnight and was skeptical whether it was worth my time watching it. But just 10 minutes into the show I was smitten by the solid acting, and a probably mainstream sheltered plot but hit home anyway. I considered briefly whether to stop watching it, and instead watch it with a couple of close friends, while a few recycled names crossed my mind in rapid flashes like a Powerpoint presentation gone mad – but then I thought. Nah.

Some movies are better off watched alone.

haha awesome! i reckon bangkok is the coolest city in the world lol you must must must go to the floating market thing! it’s really cool there, what with the cheap food and the quirky crafts. i dont remember how much it costed to rent one of those boat things that took us around though. we were on tour. but it’s definitely worth checking out!

keen for a drag show wtf then go to tiffany’s lol i dont remember if that was phuket of bangkok, but im sure you’ll find plenty of them anyway. ooh and dont miss out on your chance to go to those factory things that make those thai snack things, like deep fried sotong stuff. you get free samples (i.e. help yourself to the stock wtf).

haha yea. that’s all i have to say really, and dont get conned lol. hope you’ll have an amazing trip!

p/s: i used to sit next to this guy in 6th form english, and he used to write ‘bang cock’ LOL

i’ve been to the floating market actually! but it was quite a disappointment to my backpacking partner and i ‘cause it was a little too commercialised, but maybe we just went to the wrong one or something.

drag show! not too keen on ‘em i’m afraid. XD though yeah might go for the visual experience wtf.

i think i’ve the perfect gullible look to be the target of all conmen. -___- but i think i’m not that stupid. :P

LOL that’s what a lot of people were hinting to me with all the bangkok innuendos lately.
