It’s almost 2am and I can tell you, trying to manage a server with the most basic of all operating system – Fedora (RedHat), is hell. I give up. It’s a CMD, and if you know MS-DOS, you know how it works:

cd /dir/folder
ls .

and all that dreary stupid shit. Thank God for Windows XP. Can you imagine trying to blog with Fedora? Or some low-end basic OS?

print I HATE MANAGING A SERVER print LORD SAVE ME print HELLPP

That is by no means accurate, but pure guessing on my part -- but it kinda works like that.

Three points I would like to address in my late-night/early-morning blog entry:

1. Malaysians are essentially the stupidest when voting for reality shows, like Malaysian Idol. I don’t exactly follow it, but Farah gets a thumbs up from me for being really good. And she was one of the bottom three last week wtf. And that horrible Chinese dude Daniel was still in, same goes to that Malay rocker Faizul. Ugh. And that Indian dude that’s still in.

And MAWI??

2. I’m feeling guilty for spending the entire afternoon, evening and night ONLINE. I failed to realise that, but server shit is occupying my time when I should be studying >_<

3. I would like to announce my best bud’s birthday, without whom I wouldn’t gain my strength, and stand up again after tumbling down during those tumultuous years. I remembered SMSing lots to him after he shifted to Bandar Utama (he was previously my neighbour), till it garnered a high bill. And last time, there ain’t any 3sen/sms deal.

So I told him my probs, and he told me his, and we listened to each other’s even though we’re separated by distance and prolly can’t do anything. Sometimes, just listening to another’s problems will help them greatly. Really.

It’s funny how blogs are a part of people’s lives already. I remembered when no one ever blogged. It was a waste of time, we said, until I saw a newspaper article last year or so about blogging and tried it.

After I launched my blog, Suet Li tried it. Then Jess. Then it spreaded around like a web, catching on with other victims in this time-consuming activity. MSN Spaces probably helped boost this blogging phenomenon, since tons of people seemed to be blogging now. Even the juniors and their inconsistent and uninteresting rants and angst (not that I wanna brand all as such, but most of ‘em).

I realised I’m blogging daily right now, even during exams or SPM in the future, unless I’m terribly busy or have nothing better to talk about than my toilet activities. Like I told Heng and Suet, blogging’s therapeutic. In a way.
