16 Jun 2006 5:25 pmThere was a last-minute plan to watch Too Fast Too Furious: Tokyo Drift at Pyramid earlier (since GSC Summit was so bloody strict with underaged visitors, and there were three underaged dudes by several months in our midst; and according to Julia, even her PTS friend got in when she went to watch the same movie yesterday). Andy picked me up at 3pm with Shawn when it was raining, followed by Wai Hong and Ryui Bynn and we were all like 10 minutes late from the scheduled movie time at 3.20pm. The next one was at 5.35pm.
Since Andy had to return the car by 6pm, and Wai Hong incidentally could use the car, both Andy and Wai Hong went off leaving RB, Shawn and I walking about looking for official World Cup merchandise and other stuffs.
Conveniently, there was a question and answer session at the centre court whereby those who get the answers correct will receive a free prize. ‘Freebies’ is Shawn’s middle name, thus when the question “What was the score between South Korea and Togo?” was posed, he rushed to the Indian host and answered “2-1” correctly.
The next question “Who’s the captain of the England team?” was answered correctly by RB (punch yourself if you don’t know), and the next.. “Name a team in Group C” had me guessing Argentina vaguely to myself, vaguely remembering it from Al-Ikhsan’s World Cup chart they put up. Wasn’t sure with my answer, but another dude went up and answered “Argentina” which turned out to be correct. <_<
The prize was a Sunway Pyramid Privilege Card 2006 which will give us access to (mostly) 10% discount to a wide variety of shops, from Tropicana Life and Wild Channel to I Need House.
Then they needed 5 couples to go to the ‘stage’, which was basically a dribbling/passing match using cones. The fastest couple win, which RB & Shawn came to a close second, which netted them the consolation prize of another privilege card each (which Shawn gave me his extra), otherwise they would have won some silly Uncle Lim’s vouchers. >_>
The hour passed by pretty quickly and it was time to watch TFTF: Tokyo Drift. Vision was slightly blurrish when watching the entire movie (since am trying to get used to using contact lens and all), but wasn’t too bad that it interfered with the cineplex experience.. even brought along my contacts case and my spectacles just in case I couldn’t stand it.
Not being that interested in cars unlike the others, the drifting and the cars displayed (RX7?) were admittedly impressive. Story-wise, it sucks to the ground since it wasn’t really believable (nothing puts me off more than listening to two Japanese men trying to speak English to each other), but if you’re in it for cars, cars, drifting and more cars, I suppose it’d be worth your every sen.
Yep, there was plenty of eye-candy, cars and Japanese girls-wise.
When the show ended and the credits were rolling, Sarah came up to where we sat.. apparently she was watching the movie with his brother.
We rushed to the centre court again to attempt to answer the Q&A; the last question, “Name a state in Germany” had me thinking for a second but Shawn and RB were exploding, “MUNICH!!” and I rushed forward and got my privilege card, which I gave to Andy. (Now you know Malaysians’ mentality with freebies, at least, among our clique.)
There was yet another similar dribbling competition, which RB & Shawn were barred from entering (to Shawn’s disappointment). WH was pushed forward and he tried.

Wai Hong attempting to dribble.
He didn’t win, but hey a free privilege card. Woot.
We then went to Playworks, the arcade area, and played table hockey. For some reason, the machine was malfunctioning, and everytime a round of table hockey ended, without inserting any coins, the machine fired up again by itself with its booming mechanic voice, “Get ready.”
Which means that we naturally took advantage of the situation and began to play more than 10 rounds.

Exciting match of table hockey.
The ‘ball’ kept flying out of the table at different directions, and twice it fell inside the pirate-themed treasure shooting game arena, which pissed off one of the lalas working there. When it fell towards the pirate game again, the dude with the golden hair jumped inside, picked the ‘ball’ up and threw it on the floor. Which was so inconceivably rude.
Shawn would’ve picked it up, forced the ‘ball’ into his throat and threw him at the treasure chest from the pirate game nearby, but he kept his cool. In fact, since it was our last game anyway (and we didn’t pay a single sen playing the table hockey), we brushed it aside and Wai Hong placed the ‘ball’ behind the bouncing horse ride as a form of revenge.
It was like, nearly 9pm when we left. After touring around SS15 contemplating whether to eat at Asia Cafe and play pool (thought against it since it was a Friday night and tend to be crowded), we went back to good ol’ USJ 8. And guess what we ate?
::economy mode turned on::
Our dinner:

Poor damn beggars eating in 7-Eleven.
We asked the kind abang manning the counter if we could eat inside 7-Eleven and he said it was no problem. Made some small chat with him, and I proceeded to eat two mee-in-a-cup and a small bun ripped off from Shawn.

Andy looking at the air-con that wasn’t really cold.
We went to the cybercafe behind it and played CS for an hour plus..
All in all it was a great day out. =] Was fetched home by WH at nearly 11.30pm.

GERMANYYYY. ♥
... München [Munich] isn’t a state. It’s a city. A very large and famous city. :x
Unless state IS city in your crazy Asian language. ‘Cause it sure as hell isn’t in America. xD
Why is it that most pictures of you in your journal consist of you eating?

..LOL I didn’t know that. But then again the host of that Q&A probably didn’t know that either, yeah. Come to think of it, the World Cup is being held at various cities in Germany. :p
It has many pictures of me eating because I’m hungry. :P Cheap-o, RM1.20 mee-in-a-cup, yum.

ozzie: Fuyoh same time punya comment. :P
X-Men III is good, although am a bit disappointed there weren’t a lot of fighting scenes compared to X2 (although X3 has its own share of special effects, which are sooo damn cun :D). Tokyo Drift.. yeah, story sucks, but again if you love all things cars and drifting and Japanese girls, it’s not really that bad. :P
Haha! If I’ve a Germany jersey (been finding for it..) I’ll wear it to my exams.. wear la, no harm in believing in something if you think it’ll make you pass. XD
