Vanilla Garrett

I am typing now with my head filled to the brim with microeconomics facts and figures – a monopolist’s third degree price discrimination, assumptions for an indifference curve, consumer’s risk adverse behaviour, increasing cost industry in a perfect competition market – and here I am trying to rest and hope that these facts will sink in long enough in my short-term memory for me to breeze through for my Wednesday’s paper.

I have a Business Finance paper on Tuesday – which is singularly one of the papers I fear the most because it is my least prepared subject, a consequence of not practising enough and skipping many tutorials. Actually, for these upcoming papers on this coming Tuesday and Wednesday, I have not prepared as much as I wanted.. and am counting on my short-term memory to work at its prime for these two days.

A shirt I bought from LACQUER & LACE arrived two Saturdays ago at a cost of RM65 (inclusive of RM5 Poslaju) and I’m super satisfied with it! Not only does it fit me quite snugly, it comes with a detachable hood (which I don’t think I’d be using) and a strip of cloth that can be tied around the collar or my waist.. as an accessory thingy.

To be honest I have no dress sense and I’m lazy, coupled with these two facts brings you a guy who doesn’t care much about his appearance. >_> Seriously, the reason I don’t use gel is really because I’m too lazy to wash it off when I come home from a long day out wtf. But recently I wished to erm dress up nicely lah so to speak, so I needed to update my wardrobe to not include just white tees with funny statements or 3/4 pants, but something else as well.

Presenting the vanilla Garrett! It has these unique triple buttons all the way from top to bottom wtf, which, for someone as lazy as me, I found it a little bothersome to button lol. But hey I really liked this shirt. (Yeah I had to do like 10 over attempts to do a proper self-timed shot, and this is the best I could come up with. And don’t mind the fugly unkempt hair.)

---

My youngest brother earlier came into my room excitedly while jabbing a finger towards himself repeatedly, cooing, “Steven Gerrard! Steven Gerrard!”. This was after watching the Chelsea-Liverpool match.

I always thought it funny that sometimes he knew more about Liverpool’s players than I do.

---

Just came back from picking up a supposedly drunk Andy (no, he wasn’t, despite the strong whiskey breath) from Shawn’s house (long story) after Pam messaged me on MSN to do so. Both Andy and I went to McD’s Taipan to eat supper – where he treated me to it – and we just sat there and talked for nearly 2 hours.

It may seem nothing, but we haven’t been doing this for a while. Just the both of us sharing a good, long quality conversation – in fact it’s been too long a while that I forgot how, amidst our busy schedules, I missed doing something as simple as that. A good, honest conversation with someone.

most of the things that they sell are unstockable wan :( so have to quickly buy before they’re out. there’s this really nice jacket that looks like a trench coat! but alas not restockable…

i know!! that was my first time buying a shirt from a blog wtf and i only found that blog by blog-hopping from aud’s site. and the owner Josh turns out to be Suet’s friend too wtf.

i dunno if there are any such good online apparel blogs like lacquer & lace or not.. but if i found any will tell you la haha. so far i liked nearly every item i saw on that blog.

nice shirt….i like the button style and you should buy more shirts like that ..

But you also must pay more attention to the collar type that you want.

i think the one you are wearing is french collared.

szevien: hahaha thanks! i memang no dress sense lah, this is the first ‘nice’ shirt i ever bought for myself i think. if you see me in college, i always dress like i’m going out to yumcha right! hahahaha

suet: thanks much! =D

yen: haha i didn’t know got so many types of collars! ya i think the triple-button design is unique, although like i mentioned a bit mafan to button up.

yeah i’m gonna get more of vertical-lined shirts edi from now on. :D i always thought it won’t be suitable.. ‘cause KH books say it’ll make me look thinner wtf but i don’t think it’s that true lah.
