Vernon God Little

Went to the bank yesterday with Jon to cash in on that Google foreign cheque; one of the clerks can still recognise me. Caught in a torrent of downpour for about an hour, where we spent our time talking about the Cameron’s trip and everything else.

And today, no lessons before recess, and spent my time up to the 3rd last period before Bio reading Vernon God Little. It was so addictive, completely interesting, and probably the first book I laugh out loud too many times to keep track of. It has dark, sordid wicked humour (if that suits you), and the amount of profanities thrown surpasses any R-rated movies I’ve seen. But that’s what makes the novel so real - you, being in the shoes of the anti-hero, with him narrating… and the author sure doesn’t shy away from spraying “fucker”, “asshole” and “motherfucker” freely across almost every page.

So I ended up getting so caught up in it, and finished it after almost 100 over pages (an accomplishment for a slow reader) in 3-4 hours, then returned it to Suet Li thereafter. I’d definitely recommend this book, though still, nothing beats the magical uniqueness emanating from Not the End of the World.

suet: Don’t know if Vernon would suit your taste :p Maybe its targeted audience is for males..but no harm in reading!

kim: Wowwww >.< I'm still stuck with my camera which has been discontinued by Fujifilm ages ago ___ Despite it looking “professional”, its picture quality, especially when taking group pics, can be atrocious.

i believe credit is due to the owner of the book. namely, me.
i liked it too, except for the ending. everything tied up too nicely. and wtf, the out-of-body-experience thing?? x-files, man.
