19 May 2005 3:10 pmToday is a beautiful day. It rained in the morning, was completely windy throughout… and it’s the best weather one could have experienced in Malaysia for months. Had to stay back till past 3 (cycled home for lunch, then back to school again) for some Physics PEKA, which translates as worthless and stupid.
With the tickets we bought yesterday to Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, we went to Summit at about 5.30pm, and it starts at 6.30pm.
I had expected the day to end marvellously by watching the final episode of the Star Wars saga, but no, it’s grievously marred by the lack of air-conditioning in the THX hall. Unthinkable! How is it possible for us to SWEAT in a cinema?
The two hours and a half cinematic experience was also disturbed by this little kid yelling out, “MUMMY I WANT TO SHISHI” while at a romantic, quiet scene filled with dialogues. Apart from being stupid, ignorant and oblivious to the presence of 100-odd people, this boy proves that kids can be as annoying as that bug clinging onto your skin.
The movie wasn’t that climatic in my opinion, for an end to the Star Wars saga. I’m not exactly a fan of Star Wars, but how can anyone miss this? :P Not watching this movie and not knowing any detail at all about the two trilogies is like not knowing what a chicken and an egg are.
Kai Tzin went home by cycling, so the three of us (Andy, Heng, me) went to Tanjung USJ 9 with my dad fetching me there..for dinner at about 9.30pm..
Reached back home, and immediately wrote a complaint to GSC via their website:
To The Management,Being avid movie-goers, my friends and I watched Star Wars Episode III at GSC The Summit today (19/5/05, 6.30pm), and what would have been a pleasant end to the great Star Wars saga was marred by the absence of air-conditioning in the THX hall.
As one of the leading cinemas in Malaysia, this should never have happened, and imagine us sweating in our seats while watching the movie uncomfortably. Preposterous!
If the air-conditioning is faulty in any way, we should be warned about this before even purchasing the tickets. And from the usual price of RM9 raised to RM10 simply for this movie, I imagine the service would be great as before but it appears not.
I expect an explanation to this issue. Get back to me at my e-mail: saigoheiki@gmail.com
