18 Aug 2004 1:43 pmPretty cool thing. I was actually one of the last two to arrive at school today XD I walked to school, instead of the usual cycling >.> Had at least three people dialling my handphone urging me to arrive faster. Esther is the other person who arrived late, almost at the same time as me.
With only 19 students in the bus, the bus picked up students from SMK Subang Utama as well. There are 15 other schools who participated in this Celcom Youth Ambassador Programme, us being the second batch and there are 3 batches in total.
I think we did a pretty good job, as we had to come up with a project “that will benefit the school and the society”. Out of four topics given, we chose Technology (discussed this in a very diplomatic manner, I might add, us sitting around tables and chairs in a very comfortably-designed room). We came up with an idea to create a website, that will address issues such as education, entertainment, and the latest issues/updates/happenings around us.

In fact, I’d like to think that we’re the only school who thought about this, and chose Technology. Other schools mainly use the same idea - holding a carnival, recycling project, battle of the bands, singing/dancing competition; you get the drift. We’re the second school to present our project, and I er, slurred a lot on the mic XD
We were also given a blue hat, that was um, fun to wear XD I also won a mini-football thingy (from their In-Play campaign), for answering a question about m-voucher’s merchants >.> Bleh, the RM5000 first prize is very tempting. I hope we can do this - the website - and combine the efforts of everyone in the team - to do the best informative website there is.
Oh, Suet Li and I was interviewed and videoed o.O Had to talk about the good points of this Celcom programme, and as usual, I didn’t talk that fluently XD
