1 Jun 2006 5:27 pmSupposed to watch DVDs at my house with Heng and Andy, but a swift change to the plan had Shawn picking me and Esther up at 10pm plus, where we went to Maju-Maju for about an hour. After dropping off Esther, went to the cybercafe to play CS for about 40 minutes as Shawn had to go back early.
Yes, yes, so not interesting, but there’s something else I wanted to discuss about for a while. If you’re easily offended and think I’m so blardy insensitive, don’t read on.
Remember the poor USJ 13 dude who got struck by lightning beneath the pondok in the USJ 16 park last week? I’m not sure which newspapers you read, but mine has always been TheStar, and here’s an extract from the article verbatim:
Muhd Husaini said he was told by one of his son?s teachers that Hezrill had inquired from his friends and classmates if he had owed any of them money as he wanted to pay them back.?These were all indications that he was going to leave us. We just didn’t notice it,? said the distraught father.
...
No offence to the poor dude and his family, but how on earth does one know that one would die on a particular date? (Apart from people committing suicide or those practising euthanasia.) I understand that the family is extremely sad and all, but that’s a pretty wild claim to make. If Hezrill knew he would die, he would have stayed inside school or somewhere safe instead of running home straight to his untimely death. =___=
This is, of course, not the only incident. Plenty of other very unfortunate accidents have the family members quoted, “He knew he would die, that’s why he did this, this and this.”
It’s so ludicrous I couldn’t help rolling my eyes each time I read something like this.
Like, if I knew I were to die three days from now, I’d try everything humanly and financially possible including sex, inebriety from excessive alcohol and bungee-jumping, instead of still going to school.
Seriously.
What will you do if you know you were to die soon, huh?

if i knew that a lightning is going to strike me, i will use my boyfriend as a sheild (haha, only joking).
if i was going to die, i would probably do something to make my family earn a hell lot of money because of the cause of my death…and then i’ll take the boyfriend to the grave with me evil laugh
