I’m on my darling Roxanne as I type, trying to get used to her oh-so-different keypads that can be oh-so-difficult to type. The fact that the bottom of my palm kept touching upon the stupid integrated touchpad-cum-pointer meant my cursor will keep moving about randomly.. ah well, I s’pose I could get used to one of the finer, unnoticeable details of owning a laptop.
So when did my baby come about to land in own house? It comes in the answer of a stork delivery man who rudely awaken me up at 8 freaking 30 in the morning on Friday the 9th, when I had trouble sleeping the night before, incidentally dreaming about darling, darling Roxanne. My dad was yelling outside my door quoting Dell’s name, and that was enough to bring me out from my dream world as I raced downstairs to witness my baby’s delivery.
She is just so perfect.
And oh I got back my camera at long last.

This is the entrance of the Sony Service Centre.
I was trying to post an entry but kept saving it as a draft as I had to do loads of installing of programs on this laptop, and transferring of files, etc, plus the fact that the World Cup 2006 is finally here occupies my time even more.
So, yep, I went to the Wawasan school at close to the scheduled 11am as Andy was to pick me up there, on the way to Sarah’s house. Turns out that he was extremely punctual and was there minutes before I even reached there (with Geok Leng in the car). He drove us all the way to MidValley Megamall, and luckily for us, the moment we entered the nefarious, infamous car park where supposedly you’ll take ages to chance upon an empty lot, a large car reversed out of their lot and gave us the spot. Woot.

Andy sangat gaya ohh.. sunglasses some more.
Sarah and Geok Leng were supposed to meet up with their college friends, who were somewhere else in the mall. We went to Topshop to look around, where I bought a Topman tee for my dad in conjunction with Father’s Day.. RM61.20 after a 10% discount thanks to GL’s card.
We met up with the girls’ Taylor-mates, and after the introduction where I’m sure we would have forgotten each other’s names by now (*coughsaveforjinhun*), we went around in search for a place to dine.. someone’s first suggestion was Pizza Hut and we naturally agreed.
Then someone, god knows who, spotted Madam Kwan’s and went ballistic and we were all soon ushered into the quaint, posh Chinese restaurant which seemed to be famous for its nasi lemak. For RM14++.
ZOMG LOH MENG MEH.
Because I was having a rather severe sore throat at that time (still am), I ordered a hot lemon tea drink to go with my mushroom chicken rice. So, you see, I went out after ordering ‘cause I have exactly RM19 left in my wallet (had to borrow an RM50 note from GL to pay for the Topman shirt I bought), so I went down to the ATM machine and queued and waited and punched out my money.
When I came back, I was greeted with the sight of this:

WTH I paid RM5.30++ and what I got was a coffee-like drink where I have to bancuh my own tea. wtf. Sendiri tambah sugar + tea + lemon. wtf.

My stomach almost stopped grumbling when I saw the prices in the menu, but I ordered this mushroom chicken rice, anyway, expecting that for the RM13++, I would be given a large serving with generous amount of mushrooms peppered on top of it, along with the slices of chicken.
BUT NO. THEY GAVE ME THIS SMALL PATHETIC DISH THEY CALLED A MUSHROOM CHICKEN RICE. Although admittedly the taste of the sauce is slightly better than the one selling behind my house, I wouldn’t pay close to RM20++ just to have a freaking lunch in an exclusive air-conditioned place.

The decor and all was posh and nice. And so many people ate there. x__X Rich bastards.

The duo was introduced to us as the Beauty and the Beast, because as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words and this picture speaks ‘Beauty and the Beast’ itself - 4 words. The girl’s name is Jin Hui or something like that.

I love their bar section, and the absolutely attractive decor with the glasses. The non-trainee waiters were all wearing blazers wtf.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Enter this place with a wad of cash and exit it empty-handed.
We met up with both Esther and Adrian who both came to Madam Kwan’s to look for us, then both Andy and I followed the newcomers since going out with the almost-perfect-strangers from Taylor’s seemed horribly odd.
First place we dropped by was Hang Ten, where Adrian bought a white shirt while I had a yellow one (it’s RM29 each if we bought 2 pieces, otherwise it’d be RM39 each), discarding Andy’s warning of virtually everyone in our clique had virtually every different colour - my choice of yellow was supposedly taken by RB, but it’s not like we were gonna wear it at the same time anyway.
It’s gonna be painstakingly boring to describe the places we went to after that, since what we did was walking around and around up till 8.30pm. That’s right, for about 8 hours of walking/shopping.

Random photo-snapping after being bored of walking around.
I went to the IT world with Andy (after losing track of a happy shopper in the form of Esther, and Adrian) to look for a mouse in each shop - the one I had in mind from looking up Logitech’s products earlier was a Logitech Mini Mouse Plus (or something of that sort, too lazy to get the exact name), until Andy spotted this Logitech Tiger Mouse which looked cute, but am unsure if it’ll retain the same functions with the Mini Mouse, which has retractable cords specially designed for laptop purposes.
It is, so I bought it for RM79.
There was also a digital camera fair on sale, which SanDisk had a booth selling memory cards and pendrives and other related electronics. Andy bought a 1GB pendrive with ‘u3 functions’ or sommat, which costs RM129, RM10 more than the pendrive without u3.
After considering whether I should purchase it since I need one to transfer files from my main computer to this laptop, as well as for college purposes (if any), I decided right then to get it, albeit impulsively.

Beauty and the Beast purchasing Baskin Robbin’s ice-cream, while I had a watermelon scoop from Lecka-Lecka which tasted oh-so-heavenly.

Random shot of my new Timberland shoes.

Both Andy and I met Kai Tzin who was at MidV to pass something to his ex-boss, also because he was supposed to join us. ;P
And we saw plenty of these (not being racist here):

Random obligatory camwhoring where GL insisted to be Andy’s yi lai:

Then we went to SS15’s Pan Bakery for a dinner-cum-gathering (reached there at about 8.45pm) for a final dinner of sorts for our good friend Kai Tzin, who would be leaving for MMU in Malacca the next morning.
I suppose he’s the only one from our clique who’s the first who’ll be leaving Subang Jaya for the first time, in pursuit of post-Form 5 education.

There were like 15 people there, and not all were in this picture.

Suet browsing through Esther’s Christmas tree skirts.

Another look at the upstairs of Pan Bakery.
Since Andy had to back early, as do some of us, I followed Andy with Ding, Kai Tzin, Sarah and GL, while 9-10 others squeezed into RB’s CRV. Incredible. Kai Shen who wanted to get on Andy’s, but since there was no more space left in Andy’s Waja, was pushed off to RB’s car.. lol.

At Sarah’s house watching the opening to World Cup 2006.

Silly groupie when we had to leave.

One of Kai Tzin’s last pictures in Subang..
I reached home at 12am sharp.
Went out on Saturday night at about 8.20pm (yesterday, like hours ago at the time of writing) with Shawn, Heng, Esther and Jess to RB’s house at first to watch the England vs Paraguay match at 9pm, but since a plumber and some relatives were there, we switched venue to Jess’ place instead, where WH who drove to RB’s went to Jess’ too.
..and we missed the first few minutes where I thought nothing could possibly happen, but happened anyway, with an own goal suffered by Paraguay, rofl.
The rest of the match was pretty much meh. Andy, Ding and Kai Shen came only after the match ended.. Jess’ house was a lively hub of World Cup with her uncles and aunties and younger cousins dropping by too.
We then went to Maju-Maju for basic mamaking; WH’s sis dropped by too at almost 12 when the mamak was going to close.
Kai Shen and RB were dropped back at their own homes in two different cars (WH drove Jess and Esther back to the World Cup hub), then we went back again to watch Trinidad & Tobago vs Sweden - was also my first time hearing such a mouthful name of Trinidad & Tobago for a country. It was a pretty exciting match (compared to the earlier England’s one), but a goalless end makes it less exciting than it could’ve been.
Went back at 2am.
Pretty much surmised what I’ve done for the past two days.

lol, I’m not likely to spend that much money on shopping that often (in fact, this is my first time) but since I earned some sum of money, time to treat myself for a bit.. :P
From what I read on some website, apparently Dell in Malaysia’s cheaper than Dell in Australia.. especially the Inspiron 6400 that I’m using right now. So yeah, if you’re serious about it try and get it XD
Thanks hehe, trying to practise my photography a bit on the food. Wasn’t too happy about the hot lemon tea but oh well.
Yeah I love group pics as well
haha, what’s wrong with Indians?
