Project 365 #82: Wednesday, 6th May 2009

I was in the college from 10am-ish, saw Mun Wah in the library at 11am-ish. I had wanted to consult my Macroeconomics 2 lecturer, Ms. Winnie, at the RMIT Programme Staff Room but when I knocked twice on the door and called out “Ms. Winnie please”, Fatima, the resident RMIT clerk or whatever position she held shoo-ed me away with a flick of her hand – seems like there was a meeting then, how terribly convenient.

Mun Wah and I had lunch together at 11.30am at the cafeteria, then at 12pm, as I was about to enter LT3 for our International Monetary Economics extra class, Ms. Gomathy, my Law of Investment lecturer, stopped me and addressed me as Kenneth (wtf) and told me that our exam is going to be very difficult and very different than what has been done in the previous years – the horror. =( I took the opportunity to ask her some questions, but she told me to see her later instead.

After dumping my bag at LT3, I went again to the staff room and seek out Ms. Winnie – I was scolded by her yesterday when I went to consult her at 4.15pm, 15 minutes before her consultation hour ends at 4.30pm lol ‘cause she told me she was there the whole day but I chose to see her just 15 minutes before she was about to leave (yeah I’m confuzzled), but knowing her, it wasn’t a pissed-off kinda berating ‘cause she even smiled to me before I left – and yeah got scolded yet again for not knowing something despite sitting near the front row every single lecture lol. Strangely enough I’m not exactly afraid of her – I’m actually quite fond of her now even though I didn’t exactly like her in Macro 1 because of her fierceness.

Subsequently I was feeling rather stressed by Macro 2 after the IME extra class as I couldn’t understand the last topic at all – plus it feels as if I’m absolutely running on a very fine line of time before it breaks and before I know it, my first paper – Macro 2 – has begun. :/

Kai Tzin picked me up at nearly 4pm, and we went off together to Summit. Saw Andy in college and he passed me his student card (for the student discount, but as today’s a Wednesday, it’s RM6 flat for all movies before 6pm anyway), he came by himself to Summit a little while after we arrived – and the three of us proceeded to catch X-Men Origins: Wolverine at 4.45pm.

Three tix to Wolverine, coming up!

I thought it was a good, entertaining summer action flick to put my mind off studies and a whole load of stress for a while – excellent special effects, explosive action scenes, Hugh Jackman butt naked.. although I was a tad bit disappointed that Gambit merely appeared quite briefly given the hype, as his ‘tricks’ in the movie were impressive. Maybe a Gambit origins movie, anyone? An 8.5/10 for me, although some like Haensly didn’t like it. <_<

Project 365 #83: Thursday, 7th May 2009

After that productive Tuesday, the subsequent two days were pretty damn unproductive. The speed at which I’m going for my Macro 2 studies is unbelievably slow – and I worry if I’m able to complete ‘em on time, not to mention that I’ve yet to start anything on my Law of Investment at all.

I went for my piano class today, after which when mum got back from SJMC at about 3pm, I decided to stall it till 4pm+ ‘cause I wanted to park inside the college and knew that chances are hard if I were to go early. A bit of a bad idea ‘cause studying on my bed made me so sleepy I dozed off twice, sigh.

When I arrived at 4.30pm, the guard surprisingly let me in without asking further questions, and Khai Jin (sp?) who was at the parking compound with a friend told me that Rebecca wanted to park inside shortly before me and she wasn’t let in. wtf.

At nearly 7pm, me, Rebecca, and Khai Shin went off to Asia Cafe – they merely teman-ed me and I had my usual favourite Uncle Bob’s Taiwanese Fried Chicken Rice with Sesame Rice.

I was supposed to have my Chinese class at 9pm, but received a text message from my teacher 30 minutes before the scheduled time that she was feeling sick. The female Chinese librarian was asking me if I was feeling hot as the air-cons automatically shut down by themselves at 8.45pm sharp, and told me I had about 15 minutes left. But shortly after an annoying soft Indian dude who works at the Resource Center and computer labs kept bugging me to leave when I still had some time left. -___-

Suffice to say, it was a very uneventful day. I’m absolutely beat now – and have been feeling this way consistently every night since the start of this week.

i love my lecturers too, especially my animal science ones. im pretty much the only asian in class (heck i AM the only asian in class) and they all know me lol it’s pretty funny. but i love how we can just rock up to their office and talk about anything and nothing, and just last thursday i was having the nicest chat about what i want to do when i graduate lol. my point is, lecturers are not as scary as we thought when we were first years.

p/s: I LOVE GAMBIT!!
