You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie

I’m frustratingly exhausted, so I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

After college, my classmates and I went to the pasar malam behind 3K in the afternoon at about 3pm plus, which may appear to be rather paradoxical.

Bryan (in green) and Kay Li, next to the Honey Jelly thingy stall which was pretty tasty. Jelly sells at RM1.40 per bowl.

The two young kids (brothers?) who were rather innocuously cute, sharing each other’s food, reminding me of myself in the ridiculous short pants-uniform in my far more innocent days. Thought the sight of them sharing together would make a very good photograph.

Glorious pasar malam.. in the afternoon, rofl.

The two kids again.

Oooh I love this groupie. Me in the I SEE DEAD PEOPLE tee because I planned wearing it together with Matt on MSN, who also has the same tee in black, but too bad we didn’t manage to see each other. :p Next to me is Vick Kee, Jo Vie, Kent, and Bryan at the back.

We also went to 3K and lepak-ed in front of the automatic sliding glass doors for no apparent reason. We were talking and laughing loudly like obnoxious youths, till this pair of probably badminton-playing old couple walked past us, glancing at us all the while. Jo Vie mentioned something very loudly in her trademark loudness as they passed by that we were “decent” kids, that the old couple sportingly chatted with us for a while. Old dude finally said something laughingly that Jo Vie’s tattoo isn’t exactly ‘decent’.

Finally.. went back around 5.30pm-ish after guiding Vick Kee’s car out from where she parked near the pasar malam.

CHAOHAIAR some stupid god-awful gargantuan cockroach was flying around my room 5 minutes ago at the time of writing like it was an F1 driver. It went out beneath my door, I went downstairs to get some water to recover from my trauma and minor heart attack, went upstairs and spotted it on the staircase, and called for my kakak to rescue like the superwoman cockroach-buster that she is.

I’m a sucker for brilliantly written lyrics, proses of such short instances yet not without a beautiful depth of seemingly meaningless words strung together. As old as this song may be, I’m drawn to Sarah McLachlan – Angel when I heard it at (Yen’s car? not so sure) Shawn’s house three days ago, thanks to Heng.

I was drawn to her immaterial, quivering, eerie-like voice emanating throughout the song. Take a look at the chorus:

In the arms of an Angel, far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

Really beautiful lyrics. I added the song to my musicbox, so feel free to clear your cache, refresh, and listen to it. :)

Saki: Japanese schoolboys.. well maybe they do look like one. >_>

Haven’t I told you about my tee? It might be cheesy but when you’re living in our Chinese culture where there’s Hungry Ghost Festival and stuffs, it takes some balls courage to wear it. ;p

I love Sarah McLachlan’s songs, gonna illegally download more and listen. :D

kaitzin: Wah, a lot of people got too? Haha I guess Giordano’s T-shirts are like that.. cheap, nice to wear, and er, nice designs. :p

Yeah might be a bit weird to snap pics in the middle of a pasar malam. XD

daniel: Your junior by 10 years kua.
